In 2017, the Committee held its annual meeting from October 8-10 at the Paris Las Vegas Casino & Resort.
The 2017 meeting opened with a CLE program that allowed bankruptcy lawyers to expand their knowledge of securities law. Attendees could participate in additional CLE seminars covering topics ranging from bankruptcy mediation tactics to the ethical challenges raised by technology.
Amidst more than a dozen subcommittee meetings, guests could also attend the annual ABA and American Bankruptcy Law Journal Symposium. This year, the meeting highlighted the ways that legal professionals could apply the bankruptcy code to improve the financial status of higher education institutions.
